idk about you guys but this was my very nuanced interpretation of this scene last night

…as she watched stood upon the forecastle watching her dragons chase each other across a cloudless blue sky, Daenerys Targaryen was as happy as she could ever remember being.

Do I divide and fall apart?
‘Cause my bright is too slight to hold back all my dark

Game of Thrones AU: Jon/Sansa in WWII

Her brothers went off to war, but not together. Robb is somewhere in the South Pacific. He sends letters whenever he can. His best friend Theon is with him. That makes her feel better, knowing that he isn’t alone.

Jon is in Europe. He enlisted as soon as he could. He writes to Arya, and Sansa does not write him. She didn’t even tell him goodbye. It’s winter now, and all she can think about is if he has a coat. She never thought about her half-brother longer than a second. But the snows are falling heavier now and it’s all she can obsess over.

Jon comes home and Robb doesn’t. Sansa hugs him tight and he tells himself that its because she’s missing someone else. She never calls him Robb, and that makes things harder and easier. She tells him that she prayed for him, and he believes it.

She never asks what it was like until he tells her anyways. She cries and calls him stupid for ever leaving, hates herself for being so cruel to him before, and for not knowing how to make it all better. He doesn’t know how to tell her that she already has.

Words and inspiration thanks to ladytara.

“Winter’s lady.” Jon squeezed her hand.
